Dead cheap for a cup noodle. 40p from Tesco. And that includes the little unfolding fork. You have two choices for the amount of water you put in - either snack level or soup level. But it's hard to judge because the mark is on the outside of the cup, and you can't see through the material, and it's hard to judge because the dried noodles cover the spot where the water levels are. Best to follow the instructions and not put in the powder until after you've finished messing about getting the water level just right.
It's a decent nood. Nice spice. I think this is decent value for money, and I wouldn't object if someone shoved these in my mouth again.

I like these. Not hot, but certainly spicy. they do have a lively lime and coriander flavour. The noodles are a little thin, but acceptable. Made in China with all veggie (and mostly chemical) ingredients. All round a decent little lunch which wakes up the mouth quite pleasantly. Nice one.

Some kids on YouTube (Funny, one stabs the dried noods with a big knife and breaks the cup - then mends it with a plaster!)
The Ramenrater (He doesn't like 'em - but always seems to smother his noods in food and sauce so I'm not sure how he can properly experience the noods. Says he rates before he does it - but why would he eat noods he doesn't like twice in a row?)
Proper customers on Amazon (Fairly universal acclaim from true noodfans!)

Hey - just read your review and you mention me in it so I should explain. See, I like to review everything I can get my hands on. Sure, there will be amazingly great ones, but there will also be horrible ones. Usually if I really don't like it, I'll toss it. I do try everything before I add any of my own vegetables/meats/fish/etc to it - to do otherwise wouldn't be fair.
ReplyDeleteHi Ramen Rater. I'm pleased you found my site. I don't promote it, yet people seem to find their way here eventually! The comment about your site was made back in 2013 - since then I have also eaten noods I didn't like a second time. No worries. Sometimes it's because by now I have eaten so many I forget what I have already eaten, or sometimes it's to see if I've changed my mind or the recipe has changed.
ReplyDeleteAs regards you putting food on your noods. I don't have a problem with that - your noods, you do what you like with them baby! But I don't understand when you say you rate them without the food, but show a picture of them with the food. Say what you do, do what you say, eh? Would you eat them in a box? Would you eat them with a fox? Could you, would you on a train? ;-)
Anyway. I love your site. You are the King of Noods! I haven't been there for a while, as America tends to get different brands to the UK, and recently I have been spending some time with UK brands, but I have always enjoyed your reviews, and your enthusiasm for noods. We may not always like the same brands, but we both have a love of the instant noodle.
