The Nation's 'Normous Noodle are a Symington's nood. Symington's own the Golden Wonder brand, and they originally used that brand name for these noods - but since changing from having the noods made in China, to being made in Leeds, they appear to have dropped the Golden Wonder name - or perhaps it was a printing error?
Anyway, this is a typical British product. Soft bland British type noodles, in bland curry sauce. It works OK if you don't really want a bad boy or a dirty pig, and are looking for something loving and kind. I suppose it's like asking for a hand shake rather than the full monty. Suits some.

Golden Wonder Noodle Pot
UK made. Veggie. Around 50p a pot. The noodles are air-dried, so characterless, and take over five minutes to soften. The sauce is floury and bland. It's edible, but not really enjoyable. This is crap.

Golden Wonder Noodle Pot
The Golden Wonder brand name is now owned by CTO Holdings, so Symingtons have to pay to use it. This is a standard pot noodle with a typical floury British sauce, flavoured with chip shop curry - a mild and surprisingly appealing curry sauce. Well, it's appealing to me, but maybe that's because I'm British. There is no quality about this product, it tastes like what it is, a cheap and unexciting pot noodle, but it also tastes comforting and quite moreish. I like this. I like the sweetness combined with the mild curry spice.
Sometimes this is exactly the sort of nood you want. And today it was.
